BEFORE AND AFTER
LOVE SALON - BRIDAL STUDIO
Love Salon is a bridal studio on Podmaniczky Street in Budapest, designed by HBellorin to bring dress displays, fitting rooms and client areas together within a distinctive interior. The original space measured approximately 20 metres long, 6 metres wide and 4.5 metres high. Its proportions offered room to create a flowing arrangement of spaces while preserving a sense of openness and the light from the tall windows.
Curved timber walls and free-standing partitions shape the studio without reaching the ceiling. These sculptural elements guide visitors through the salon, frame the wedding dresses and create more intimate fitting areas. Circular mirrors, warm timber surfaces and soft curtains bring continuity between the displays, fitting rooms and lounge seating.
Above the salon, a dark ceiling gives depth to the interior and provides a backdrop for Aurora Tropical, a 14-metre-long kinetic installation of twisting curtains and golden metal rods. Inspired by the work of Venezuelan artist Jesús Rafael Soto, the installation brings light, movement and an artistic focus to the bridal studio.
The photographs below document the real renovation process: the original rooms, the construction of new partitions and steel structures, the installation of the curved timber elements, and the completed salon. Seen together, they show how the interior developed from an existing space into a bridal studio where display, privacy and circulation form one coherent design.
