BUDAÖRS PROJECT
This home in the Budaörs Hills was designed as a peaceful retreat, an interior that feels grounded, warm, and deeply connected to its surroundings. Nestled at the edge of the forest, the house opens up to the natural landscape, and our role was to reflect that calm inside.
We worked with rich, earthy tones: deep blue velvet, warm copper panels, dark stone, and soft grey textiles. These materials add depth and warmth without overwhelming the space. Instead of using lots of decoration, we focused on texture, light, and proportion, letting each material speak for itself.
In the living area, a curved wall wraps around a cozy lounge with low, sculptural sofas. Light glides across the ceiling in clean, minimal fixtures, while custom shelving and joinery bring rhythm and softness.
The kitchen is bold but refined. We combined a dramatic black stone island with copper cabinets and hidden lighting. It’s a space that feels luxurious, but still livable, perfect for both quiet mornings and long dinners with friends.
One of the most special areas is the staircase lounge. Built into the steps is a small reading nook surrounded by books and stone, with a bonsai tree at the center. It’s a quiet, contemplative space that feels like its own little world.
